The Symphony Concertante was commissioned by the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra and premiered by the composer himself in July 2015 on serpent, cimbasso, ophicleïde and saxhorn. Roland Szentpali dedicates this work to his friend Steven Mead and to his French friends who play saxhorn and the French instruments. Instrumentation detail: Euphonium solo, 1 piccolo, 1 flute, 2 oboes (+ English horn), 2 clarinets Bb, bass clarinet, 2 bassoons, contra-bassoon, 4 horns, 3 trumpets, 2 trombones, bass trombone, timpani, percussions, harp, piano, strings. Duration: 25 min. Advanced level. Both parts for treble clef and bass clef included.
