Pedro Valls (1869-1935) was a double bass player and teacher in Barcelona and one of the most important Catalan musicians of his time. The influence of Bottesini was extremely important for his works four double bassd - as can be seen in the three works newly edited here which stand entirely in the tradition of Spanish folklore.
