A further edition in our highly regarded Beethoven revisions bears witness to our fruitful collaboration with the renowned artist Murray Perahia. This time the established editorial team Gertsch/Perahia has devoted itself to a truly monumental work: Beethoven's famous Waldstein Sonata was composed in close proximity to the Eroica and the first sketches for Fidelio. The boldness of the first movement already surpasses anything that had been ventured up to that point. Beethoven dedicated it to his friend and patron Count Waldstein.
