Léon Boëllmann (1862-1897) was a student of Ecole Niedermeyer and held the position of Titular Organist at the Church of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, Paris. Continuing in the tradition of Saint-Saëns, Franck and Gigout, his ompositional output reflects the elegant and sophisticated domain of the Belle Epoque.
