Lajos Papp, the author of countless popular pedagogical works, now offers the youngest string players very easy little orchestral pieces which can also be successful concert items for more advanced students. This cycle of eight short pieces can be performed in its entirety, or various kinds of selections or groupings may be made from it. The title refers to the medieval tournaments that have always fired children's imagination, and also to children's games that imitate and re-enact those tournaments.
