Productomschrijving

Hevelius, an organ piece in two parts, is a modest homage to the great 17th-century Polish astronomer. The two halves symbolize the Sun, of which Hevelius observed the spots, and the Moon, of which he did the topography. The twinkling nature of the first part evoke stars and comets, whereas the second, in waltz form and alternating major and minor modes, represents the changing aspect, bright or mysterious, of the lunar star." (Julien Bret) This piece was premiered on 24 July 2015 by Hervé Désarbre on the great organ of Oliwa Cathedral, the largest instrument in Poland.
