This is one of the most difficult concerts which was composed for horn. Belloli makes a note in the solo part of in addition numerous simplifications since it was conscious of the difficulties.
As a date becomes June 17th, 1816 and Milan makes a note. The dedication on the title page (see on the right) is not clear. At first this could have been intended for Napoleon. However, it possible, this are also Belloli a composition planned 'the battle at Wagram' with the title, used, however, the manuscript paper for the horn concert later.
The concert appears in the first edition.
