These pieces are dedicated to guitar students, and start from a basic level of difficulty (both Canon studies have a fully open strings part) to an intermediary level in both Sonatas for two guitars. The canons are intended to introduce pleasantly the student to this important musical form. Both Sonatas are exercises in style: the first is a tribute to Domenico Scarlatti, in monothematic and bipartite form; the second is dedicated to Mauro Giuliani (with a quote from the Grande Overture op. 61) and is built according to the bipartite and tripartite classical form.
