InToros de Ceniza the prevailing style is Alegrias. It is tonal, merry, like a bow before Western academic forms. But there are other styles which appear and disappear here and there during the course of the piece, like an elusive, mischievous spirit, subtly leaving just a trace of their cadences. Time and again the south wind blows softly, carrying the smell of salt and the sea; and just so I find, in writing this work from my own perspective, my own, new, intimate sounds, drawn from the traces of my musical trajectory. Sounds mixed with images which suddenly appear in recalling memories, like a mutation, alive, vulnerable. Here, the Mediterranean washes around almost everything, softening it; Death is being celebrated... The celebration of Death which, as Lorca puts it, is always accompanied by the duende and its black sounds which are the seeds of others: new and unknown ones.
