Product description

A new edition of Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach's well known sonata in D major for cembalo, flute and cello!! The Sonata in D major by J.C.F. Bach was for a long time not available anymore. This work was performed and registrated very often by Jean-Pierre Rampal and many other flute players.

Originally written for flute, harpsichord and cello the sonata was also often played as a duo for flute and piano or harpsichord. This was absolutely not against the rules of the late 18th century. It was Joseph Haydn who wrote in a letter that this kind of trios could also be performed without a cello.
