  • Robin Sullivan in 2006. Robin was the wife of
  • Robert Sullivan, Assistant Principal Trumpet in
  • the New York Philharmonic for many years.

  • work was premiered in Nyack, New York at a
  • memorial service for Robin Sullivan. Performed by
  • Philip Smith, Principal Trumpet and Joseph Alessi,
  • Principal Trombone - both of the New York
  • Philharmonic. At the piano was composer Joseph
  • Turrin. The title of the piece comes from the hymn
  • tune by Charles Wesley (1707-1788). Musically this
  • composition has no relation to the hymn itself
  • except in the fact that it served as an
